Vintage Sale - Aftermath

It was an absolutely beautiful fall day for our first vintage sale.  Laura (The Ironstone Nest) and I were delighted with the crowd and our sales.  Thank you to everyone who came!!  We really appreciate your patronage.

Watch here for future sales, or send your email address to fresheggsantiques@yahoo.com and I will email you when the next one is scheduled.

Here are some photos just before opening:

Special thanks to Laura who spent so much time organizing and promoting the sale and her husband, Derek, who was busy all day helping us in so many ways.  Also, thanks to Kim for the delicious cupcakes which the customers really enjoyed (we did too).

Hope you can join us at our next sale.

Junk Bonanza Review

Just back home from Junk Bonanza and a good time was had by all.  Once again, it was a great show with lots of wonderful vendors offering unique and fun vintage items.  Following are photos of some of the booths that offered everything from primitive to industrial, shabby chic to rustic...

We made some stops on the way to the Junk Bonanza and will be listing our finds in our Etsy shop in the near future.  Watch for our return on September 24th.

If you missed this Bonanza, mark your calendar for next April - for the first spring show.

Junk Bonanza

We are headed to Junk Bonanza next week.  We are looking forward to seeing all the great vendors and their offerings.  We will certainly be looking for Jan and Kathy from Gracie's Cottage and Lisa from SommersBreezeAntique.

Junk BonanzaLast year's market was fantastic.  We have our early bird tickets and we are ready to go...

Of course, we have many stops scheduled along the way - on the lookout for great vintage finds for our Etsy shop.  We are currently closed while we replenish our inventory.

More Organization Ideas

Vintage Glass Storage Jars / Industrial Storage

Since I am still on an organizing kick, I thought I would show some great storage offerings from Etsy.  Maybe one of these items will inspire you.  With one room finished, it's on to the basement - a much bigger task.  Lots of work, but it will be worth the time and effort.

Etsy Organization

I like to use display items to enhance the products that we list on Etsy.  Unfortunately, storing these items in boxes just wasn't working.  It was time to organize.  An old cubby holds some vintage photos, ceramic and wooden pieces. etc.  I purchased inexpensive canning jars to hold the remaining items: dominoes, game pieces, clothespins, office goods, etc.  Vintage fish bowls hold blocks and milk bottle cap magnets (which we include with each Etsy purchase) and a $1.00 box holds ribbon.  Business cards are stored in an old metal truck. Now it is easy to find what I need, when I need it.

Weather Woes

Wisconsin (like much of the country) continues to have weather woes - hot temperatures and no rain.  We keep wondering when it will end.  Is relief in sight soon?  Our lawn is dry, crunchy and yellow.  Trees are losing their leaves.  Watering is limited to potted plants (and some trees) at this time.  Viewing photos of my flowers from earlier in the summer offers some respite.  Hoping for better days soon.
